Labour law (also known as labor law or employment law) mediates the relationship between workers, employing entities, trade unions and the government.

A set of laws that deal with the rights of employees and the responsibilities of employers is Employment law. It covers a wide range of issues from pension plans and retirement, to occupational safety, to discrimination in the workplace.

Leave of court is permission from the judge to take some action in a lawsuit that requires an absence or delay. An attorney might request a leave of court in order to file an amended pleading, a formal declaration of a claim, or a defence.

Salary is financial compensation an employee receives for performing the job, and part of an employee compensation package. A pension is a payment benefit many workers receive from their employers upon retirement. There are two main types of pensions- a defined benefit plan and a defined contribution plan.

In litigation the term “Termination” signifies the final determination of the action. Termination or cancellation of a contract signifies the process whereby an end is put to whatever remains to be performed there under.

In India it is illegal for a person to have more than one job at a time. A relieving letter is issued by a company to an employee who has duly resigned from his said post, to be used as proof for future employers.

Disciplinary proceedings object to ascertain whether the officer concerned is suitable to be retained in service.
